Life of mercenaries. Gladiator Guild Manager

A pretty game about the management of resources and fighters. Semi -automatic battles. Early access.

The game is declared for platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, Linux, MacOS, Mac OS.

Suddenly we become the head of the Guild of Gladiators (although in fact it is more likely mercenaries) and begin life in this world.

The gameplay is the management of fighters and resources, the ultimate goal of which is victory in various battles.

At the very beginning, very briefly, but informatively will talk about the purpose of panels, shops and other interface.

So, we have a guild of fighters, which over time participates in constantly generated activities.

Some khabars remained from the previous owner – in them we will hire our first gladiators. The types of troops hired in the store directly depend on the availability of the corresponding building on the basis.

Buildings can and should be bought and improved. Also in the guild settings, you can increase the number of slots for fighters and equipment items.

A very important point is that buildings are quite expensive in resources. It is worth watching what exactly materials are not enough and priority to collect them as awards (more on that below).

There are two stores – items and gladiators. If it is more or less clear with objects, then buying fighters is not so simple.

As he found out by scrupulous study – warriors of the same level can differ very much in stats, so it is necessary to carefully identify the necessary properties of fighters when hiring. Warriors can have useful perks, which is also displayed.

Discounts can occur in both types of special info stores, which is also worth keeping in mind.

Each fighter is a rather unique unit in which we can pump (with an increase in the hero level) the required skills, to equip a variety of equipment and consumables.

Different types of warriors have active skills corresponding to the class, which very often become the key to victory.

The experience of heroes increases after any battles.

You can join the battle in several types of activity. These can be regular battles in the arena, quests given by the leaders of local fractions or special tournaments held once at a certain time.

In the initial arena, battles occur with regularity every five days (game), special – every thirty days. At a special tournament, of course, the enemies and richer rewards are stronger. Opponents (level, class) in all battles are selected every time randomly. Fortunately, the power of enemies seems to be adequately calculated.

As the activities are overcome, the geography of serious arenas expands, which can be performed.

Quests are issued randomly, and for the successful completion of tasks a reputation with the corresponding fraction is growing or may (not necessarily) decrease with the other – all the parameters of the mission sign when taking it. What is important – there are a lot of variable awards, so you need to constantly keep in control, which resource or equipment is now more needed. If the task could not be completed the first time, then the quest does not fail, and for some time you can make more attempts to defeat.

I liked it very much that with all the banality – quests are served varied and humor.

The battles are the arrangement of warriors in their half of the field, their equipment by consumables (after the battle, in any case, they disappear, so it is better to save the extra). The role of the player is reduced to thinking about which fighters will take part in a particular battle and the choice of more profitable positions.

It seems that it is simple, but in fact, the farther, the more multifactorial tasks become. Each battle has clear conditions for the number of participating units. In addition, there are quite a few types of enemies and at the first meeting they present surprises.

The fighters who fell in battles, fortunately, can be free after some time or instantly (for a rare resource) resurrected at the base. This makes the long -term development of every unit interesting interesting.

Consider the pros and cons of the game, let us summarize.

+ Simple, but extremely pleasant to the eye of the graph.

+ Good musical and sound accompaniment.

+ Excellent management of fighters, resources, buildings.

+ A great variety of types of heroes, their pumping and equipment.

+ Each battle is interesting, over time, more complex arenas open.

+ Interesting, with humorous quests.

+ Excellent Russian localization of the text.

A very bright and stuck game with a thoughtful autoboy, which the player can significantly affect. Praise deserves humorous quests, good resource management. The game is in early access, but this is the case when early access will give a head start to many release projects. If, as promised, content will be added, it simply becomes even better.
